Work by Robert Zandvliet from the Han Nefkens H+F Collection exhibited in Zwolle
This autumn, Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle and Rijksmuseum Twenthe in Enschede will organize the double exhibition entitled 'Gevaar & Schoonheid - Turner en de traditie van het sublieme' ('Danger & Beauty - Turner and the tradition of the sublime', in conjunction with Tate Britain. Turner is to Great Britain what Rembrandt is to the Netherlands. Until the present, Turner’s work has only been on show in the Netherlands on very few occasions. The double exhibition in Enschede and Zwolle presents around 50 paintings and watercolours by Turner in the context of European art history from the late Middle Ages to the present, with work by Aelbert Cuyp, Claude Lorrain, Gustave Courbet, Claude Monet, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Armando, Gerhard Richter, Robert Zandvliet and many others.
The work by Robert Zandvliet that is exhibited in Zwolle, is on long-term loan to Museum De Pont in Tilburg, The Netherlands.
